Quick access icons

The WFO portal Home page or main UI access point for all WFO applications. icons allow you to search workspaces, view new notifications, read the help, and do extra user actions.

Search workspaces

To save time navigating through the menu, use the Search icon to access a specific workspace Area within an application window where the user interacts with the program..

When you type your search entry, the system displays relevant results.

When you select the search result that you want, the system navigates directly to that workspace.

View notifications

You can view any new notifications by selecting the Notification icon. The notifications include system notifications and alerts across all WFO applications.

Read help

Access context-sensitive online help for the current workspace by selecting the Help icon.

You can then search within the help to find the content you need.

The user actions menu hosts various other options.

From this menu, you can:

  • Send internal or desktop / mobile messages

  • Enter and exit What If mode

  • Manage preferences

  • View information about your WFO application

  • Sign out of the WFO portal

Send Internal messages

You can send an internal message to employees. Once sent, the internal message appears in the notification inbox of each recipient, on the My Home page under My Notifications Suite-wide feature that provides a personal, read-only Inbox for notifications sent to users by other employees..

Send Desktop / Mobile messages

With appropriate permissions and system configurations, you can send desktop or mobile messages to employees.

You can send these messages to one or multiple recipients, and you can indicate the message priority (such as Normal, High, or Confidential). For mobile messages, you can also set an expiration date for the message.

Enter What If

What if mode allows you to explore different ways of generating schedules and obtaining statistical information using existing data without altering the contents of your production database.

When you select Enter What If, the system prompts you to synchronize your What If database with your current database.

After entering What If mode, you can also exit What If mode from the user actions menu.

Preferences

Preferences are options that apply to a single user. There are many preferences that you can configure to define WFO presentation and behavior.
