Review alarms and restart services

Procedure 22 of 23 associated with Step 2 - Change the Computer Name, Domain, or Workgroup of an Individual Managed server.

Perform the steps in this procedure only if you are changing the name of a Recorder server or a Consolidated server.

If you are not changing the name of a Recorder server or a Consolidated server, skip this procedure and continue to the next procedure Determine what to do next.

  1. Click System Monitoring > System Monitor > Alarm Dashboard.

  2. In the Installations tree (left pane), select the Server node for a server to which you have made any kind of change during this process (for example, a name or domain change, a Settings page change, or a server role Entity that contains a logical, predefined set of components (system software or certified third-party software) deployed in the Data Center and Site Zones that provide specific functionality for the system. change). Then click Filter at the bottom of the left pane.

  3. All of the active alarms for the selected server display in the Enterprise Alarms section on the right side of the page. For each alarm displayed in the Enterprise Alarms section, do the following:

    1. Click on the alarm.

    2. Examine the Details section for the selected alarm. Look for information that indicates it is necessary to restart a service on any server in the enterprise.

    3. Restart any services indicated by the alarm.
