Stop and disable the Integration Server Service

Procedure 2 of 23 associated with Step 2 - Change the Computer Name, Domain, or Workgroup of an Individual Managed server.

 

Perform the steps in this procedure only if the server whose name or domain you are changing is an Integration Server.

To determine if the server is an Integration Server:

  • Go to Integration Management > Integration Server > Integration Servers

  • All Integration Servers appear under the Server Name column on the Integration Servers page.

If the server appears under the Server Name column, perform this procedure.

If the server does not appear under the Server Name column, skip this procedure and continue to the next procedure, Perform the prerequisite steps for clustered framework applications servers.

In this procedure, you must stop and disable the Integration Server service on the managed server Server that is managed by the Enterprise Manager application..

To stop and disable the Integration Server service do one of the following:

  • If the Watchdog application is running on the managed server, use the Watchdog application to stop and disable the Integration Server service.

    If the Watchdog application is running on the server, a System Tools icon is available from the Windows task bar.

    1. Right-click on the System Tools icon, and select Run > Watchdog.

    2. Click on the Integration Server service and click Stop.

      If prompted with “The Watchdog Service is running. Do you want to stop it now?”, select No. Note that it may take a minute or two for the Integration Server service to stop.

    3. Click on the Integration Server service, click Startup, and select Disabled.

  • If the Watchdog application is not running on the managed server, use the Windows Administrative Tools to stop the Integration Server service.

    1. From the Windows desktop, select Start > Administrative Tools > Services.

    2. Right-click on the Integration Server service and select Stop.

    3. Right-click on the Integration Server service and select Properties.

    4. In the Startup type: drop-down list, select Disabled.

    5. Click Apply and then click OK.

    6. Close the Services page.
