Campaign |
When creating shift exceptions from the Forecasting and Scheduling module, this is a read-only field that displays the campaign Collection of scheduling periods in WFM, which are defined time periods where specific employees target specific workloads. for which the shift is created. NOTE: This field only appears when creating shifts from the Forecasting and Scheduling module, under Work Rules. |
Name |
Defines the name of the shift. For example: 9 hr, 1-hr lunch; 8.5 hr, 1/2 hr lunch; Research shift, 1-hr lunch |
Description |
Optional: Describes the shift. For example: Research shift with no customer service work and 1-hour lunch. |
Activity |
Defines the associated activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule. for the shift. Each shift is associated with an activity (for activities defined as Use in Shift Event). Shifts are containers for activities. Shifts define a length of time and a time period in which you want employees to perform an activity. For example: You want to create a shift that is focused on immediate customer service. Therefore, create a shift named 9 hr, 1-hr lunch. Associate the shift with the predefined activity, Immediate, which is a work activity associated with responding to customer requests shortly after they are received. |
Duration |
Defines the duration of the shift in the time format, HH:MM. You can use the up and down arrows to set the duration, or you can type it directly into the Duration field. |
Start Times |
Specifies the possible start times of the shift in 15-minute increments:

Minimum Spacing |
Defines the minimum amount of time between non-working shift events or between a non-working shift event and the beginning or end of a shift. (Non-working shift events occur during a shift, but are not considered work activities. Common examples include breaks, lunches, or meetings.) |
Maximum Spacing |
Defines the maximum amount of time between non-working shift events or between a non-working shift event and the beginning or end of a shift. Unlimited indicates that there is no maximum amount of time between shift events, or between a shift event and the beginning or end of a shift. |
Shift Events |
Allows you to add shift events to the shift. |
