Update UPN in DPA Data Source

The DPA operations data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs. is associated with the employee's User Principal Name (UPN) user name. Before users are moved to a new domain, add the new user principal name.

This ensures that no data is lost before the move and that no users are unlicensed from DPA until their DPA data source update is complete.

Procedure 

  1. Go to User Management Module that an administrator uses to create a profile for each employee in their organization.. Under Employees, select Profiles.

  2. In the Data Source area, click the set icon next to the Employee ID.

  3. In the Data Source Employee ID Setting window, enter the new user principal name (format domain_user@<newdomainname>.com), click Add, and then Set.

  4. Browse to Integration Management - Integration Servers.

  5. Select the server hosting the DPA Database Server role in the Data Center that stores data for the Desktop and Process Analytics (DPA) product. server role Entity that contains a logical, predefined set of components (system software or certified third-party software) deployed in the Data Center and Site Zones that provide specific functionality for the system. and click Edit Configuration.

  6. Run the DPA - Employee Import Sync adapter.

What to do next 

When all users have been moved to the new domain, you can remove the original fully qualified user name, if desired. DPA supports multiple fully qualified user names for the same user.

Employees monitored by DPA need to log out and then log back in to the desktop.
