Send Message screen reference

The settings on the Send Message page provide the details for the message.

Send message

Indicates the message type: Desktop or Mobile. You can select both types for a single message.

When Mobile is selected, the Work View and Team View options are selected as well. You can clear a view option if it is not needed.

To Whom:

Specifies the message recipient.

  • Employees: To select specific employees, select this option, then click the employee icon. The employee selector page appears. Select the employees as desired and click Save.

  • Employee Filter: To select employees using a filter, select this option and the filter icon. You can use an existing filter or one that you create or edit at the time of sending the alert.

  • Additional users by login names (semicolon separated: To specify recipients by employee user names, select this option, then enter the user names separated one from the other by semi-colons.

  • Additional users by role: To send desktop messages to employees by role, select the check box then select the role from the drop-down list.

  • Additional delivery targets (semicolon separated) To specify recipients by Windows user names, select this option, then enter the login names separated one from the other by semi-colons.
    NOTE| The Additional delivery targets (semicolon separated) option is for desktop messages only. It is not a valid option for mobile messages.

Expiration Date (Mobile Only)

Valid for mobile messages only. The message is cleared on the specified date.

Subject Line

The subject line for the message.

The text for the message.

Desktop Messaging Application that allows sending pop-up messages to employees by selecting the recipients' name, login or role within the organization. Delivery Template

The delivery template sets the message priority or status.

  • Low Notification: The message is displayed in a notification banner and then disappears. It can then be reviewed in the Windows notification area.

  • Normal: A notification balloon appears in the recipient desktop system tray. The recipient selects the system icon to view the message.

  • High: To ensure that the recipient reads the message immediately, high priority messages pop-up on the desktop automatically.

  • Confidential: The content of a confidential message is hidden until the recipient opens the message details.
